School & Kinder Observation Reports

A School or Kinder Observation Report provides valuable insight into a child’s participation, behaviour, and skill development in their learning environment. At Rocket Health Services, our occupational therapists observe children in real-world settings to inform tailored support plans and recommendations.

What Is a School or Kinder Observation?

These assessments involve structured observation of a child’s functioning within their educational environment, focusing on play, socialisation, attention, and engagement.

What We Assess

  • Classroom attention, focus, and transitions.

  • Fine and gross motor skills in learning tasks.

  • Social participation and peer interaction.

  • Emotional regulation and sensory responses.

  • Independence with school routines.

Why It Matters

  • Provides teachers and parents with actionable insights and strategies

  • Can support Disability Inclusion Profile application and planning

  • Informs therapy planning and classroom strategies.

  • Supports NDIS, school funding, and collaborative goal setting.

What to expect

An observation session usually lasts 45–90 minutes, followed by a short discussion with teachers or caregivers.

Families receive a written report summarising observations, findings, and practical classroom recommendations.

At Rocket Health Services, we bridge the gap between therapy and education — supporting every child’s ability to learn, engage, and succeed.
